Hello, my name is Susanna Jade Angolani and I have completed my first book, a work of creative non-fiction, about my journeys as a young woman on the Hippie Trail to India and Nepal. I met my future husband, Lorenzo, in California, then went on to explore Italy and Europe, eventually traveling with a small group overland from Milano to the east. This was a trip involving inexpensive trains, colorful buses, and fascinating people and cultures. It was a year of extreme learning and self growth, and established a path for my life I hadn’t imagined.
The stories in the book are based on this amazing trip I experienced so many years ago. We were young and unafraid, willing to take a chance on an unknown future. It has proved to be the one most impressive year of my life and I am happy to finally share it with others.
Here is a short review from a good friend, Katherine Nelson: Writer/Filmmaker/Photographer
“Simply put, I loved this book! Ms. Angolani’s memoir is a monumental testament to the benefits of throwing caution to the wind. The story of her impetuous youth pulled me in and kept me deeply immersed in her journey to wildly beautiful and distinctly remote locations, some of which you can no longer get to in the current political climate. Ultimately, this story is an odyssey of spiritual discovery in which those involved will learn from and the readers will enjoy. I highly recommend this wonderful memoir, and I look forward to reading it again.”

REVIEW FROM BUNNY ORSAK
“I knew my friend Susanna had written a memoir about her travels as a young woman. What I didn’t know is how unusual and intriguing her journey had been. Not many 21-years-old would have the courage to leave a safe home in California to venture out to explore the unknown. I enjoyed all the characters and places she described, and I know her experiences will captivate other readers. I was a TV personality in Houston for 16 years and had the opportunity to meet many fascinating people. I include Susanna in that group wholeheartedly.”
REVIEW FROM JOHN DENOVAL
“I don’t pick up a book very often anymore because of issues with my eyes, but I wanted to read my good friend Susanna’s book and I was surprised at how quickly I turned the pages. It was engaging and kept my attention. It tells of a different era that brought back my own long-ago memories. Whether you are younger or older, this is an inspiring story of adventure and romance.”
